Match Day Operations

How does a refundable deposit scheme work on match day?
Fans pay a small deposit (typically £1–£2) when they receive their cup. They can return it at collection points within the ground and receive their deposit back — either in cash, via a token, or through a contactless refund terminal. We help you design the collection workflow and can supply branded collection bins and signage as part of your package.
Can we run a levy model instead of deposits?
Absolutely. With a levy model, the cost of the cup is built into your drink price and fans keep the cup as a souvenir. This removes the need for collection infrastructure and works well for cup-as-souvenir schemes. Many of our stadium clients run a hybrid approach — levy at season launch, deposit thereafter.
How do we manage cup returns between halves?
We recommend placing collection points at concourse exits and near every bar. Clearly branded return bins with simple messaging (e.g. "Return your cup, get £1 back") typically achieve 70–85% return rates. We can supply high-visibility branded collection bins and advise on staffing ratios based on your ground capacity.
What signage and fan communication do you recommend?
Clear, bold signage is essential. We recommend: LED board announcements before kick-off, bar staff briefing cards, cup-base messaging (printed inside the cup), collection point signage, and social media assets. We supply artwork templates for all these touchpoints as part of a full-scheme launch.
Do you offer washing and storage between fixtures?

Can you print our club crest and sponsor logos on the same cup?
Yes — our full-colour IML (In-Mould Labelling) process lets us print your club badge, main kit sponsor, stadium partner, and any other brand across the full 360° of the cup. There's no limit on colours, and the design is fused into the cup during moulding so it won't peel, scratch, or fade across hundreds of washes.
Do you supply artwork support?
Our in-house design team handles everything from initial concept to print-ready file. Send us your club badge files (vector preferred — AI, PDF, EPS) and sponsor assets, and we'll produce a digital proof for your approval before any production begins. We can also work with your existing kit supplier or commercial team.
Can we produce different cup designs for home and away fans?
Yes, many clubs run separate colourways or designs for different stands or fan areas. Minimum order quantities apply per design, but we can batch production runs to keep unit costs efficient. Speak to our team about split-design orders.
Can the cup design change each season?
Absolutely. Many clubs update their cup artwork annually — incorporating new kit sponsors, squad photography, or seasonal creative campaigns. We hold your print templates on file so the turnaround for artwork updates is fast.

Ordering & Lead Times

How far in advance should we order for a season launch?
We recommend placing your season order at least 25 working days before your first home fixture. This allows time for artwork approval, production, and delivery — plus a buffer for any amends. Pre-season is our busiest period, so earlier is always better.
Can you fulfil a mid-season reorder quickly?
Yes. Once your artwork is approved and on file, reorders are significantly faster — typically 10 working days from order confirmation. For urgent top-ups under 10 working days, visit ExpressCups.co.uk.
What are your minimum order quantities?
Minimum order quantities depend on cup type and print specification. Standard IML pints start from 5,000 units. For smaller grounds or trial runs, speak to us — we can often accommodate lower quantities at adjusted pricing.
Do you offer rental cups for one-off fixtures or cup finals?
Yes. For one-off events — finals, pre-season friendlies, or concerts — rental is often more cost-effective than purchase. Our rental service includes delivery, collection, and post-event washing. Contact us for event-specific pricing.

Compliance & Product

Do your cups carry UKCA certification for alcohol service?
Yes. Under the Weights and Measures Act 1985, alcohol served by measure must be dispensed in a UKCA-certified vessel. All our pint and half-pint cups are UK-certified to the relevant capacity marks, making them fully compliant for use in licensed UK premises.
How many washes do the cups survive across a full season?
Our polypropylene (PP) cups are rated for 500+ commercial wash cycles, well beyond a typical 20-game season. The IML print is fused into the cup wall and does not degrade with washing. With proper care — correct temperature, no abrasive detergents — cups will last multiple seasons.
Are the cups fully recyclable?
Yes. At end of life, our cups are made from PP #5 polypropylene, one of the most widely recycled plastics in the UK. They're accepted by most local authority recycling schemes and can be returned to us for recycling through our end-of-life take-back programme.
Where are the cups manufactured?
All Stadium Cup products are manufactured at our UK facility. UK production ensures we meet UKCA standards, reduces transport emissions, and gives us tighter quality control than imported alternatives — with faster lead times for mid-season reorders.
